then, you need to plan ways to make room for extra calories without sabotaging your fitness goals.
here are a few things to think about:
1| work more.
if you know you're going to be eating more calories over the holiday, plan on doing 2-3 extra fat-burning workouts that week.
2| eat less.
if you can't exercise over the holiday, then you'll have to practice self-control at the table. learn to be picky! choose only the foods you love. don't eat food you don't like...ie. don't eat stuffing just because it's on the table. when trying something new, don't finish it if you don't absolutely love it!
3| rev it up
rev up your metabolism by maintaining your workouts & healthy eating patterns during the holiday. if you can't make it to the gym, stay as active as possible...trading sedentary activities for those that keep you on your feet & moving. also, eat 5-6 small meals & snacks/day to keep prevent hunger & overeating at meal times. also, think about grabbing a quick, healthy snack before you head out for the festivities! 4| add more green include more green vegetables to the menu & limit the high-calorie white foods like potatoes, rice, etc 5| dress lightly go light on the dressings, sauces, gravies, etc. you make more room for your favorite holiday dessert this way ;) have a BLESSED Thanksgiving! xo
